Razia (USA) is an award-winning belly dancer with over a decade of professional experience. She dances at community and cultural events, nightclubs, restaurants and weddings, as well as participating in established belly dance competitions. She holds titles including: “Professional Belly Dancer of the Year” 2004 (Middle Eastern Dance & Culture Association, Oregon, USA)
A warm and enthusiastic instructor, Razia stresses the importance of excellent technique as well as respect for the musical, cultural and historical traditions of the dance. She has taught in Belgium, Canada, England and throughout the Northwestern USA. She is a co-founder of RAKS (BE) and has been a featured instructor at events such as the International Bellydance Congress (UK), Raqs Britannia (UK), Leuven Bellydance Festival (BE) and Jewel of Yorkshire (UK).
Razia draws inspiration from training with some of the best and brightest in her field, including US dancers Aziza, Elisa Gamal and Magidah. Her most recent travels have taken her to London, where she is enrolled in the Drumzy Advanced Dancers Course, taught by industry legends Hossam and Serena Ramzy.
Razia is based in South London and offers weekly classes, professional coaching, and international workshops and performances.
