I am a dancer who has lived all over the world since childhood: Poland, Nigeria, Texas, Colorado and New York City in the US; and Italy. My dancing reflects this: I have training in African, martial arts, swing dance, hip hop and street jazz, contemporary, modern, jazz, gyrotonics, yoga, Pilates and of course bellydance. Human artistic movement fascinates me. I have chosen bellydance and tribal fusion as my base, adding on whatever it is I feel like adding on, and I tend to follow my creative juices. Some of my teachers; those who have had the most influence on me: Belly dance: Jehan Kamal, Serena Wilson, Dorit, Suhaila Salimpour. A slew of dancers, mostly Tribal Fusion, have inspired my path. Ballet: Dorit Koppel, Finis Jhung, Joy Karley Hip Hop/Street Jazz: Rhapsody James, Luam Keflezgy, Jermaine Browne, Dana Foglia, Ant Boogie, Marty Kudelka, Brian Friedman, Jayson Wright. A list way too long to write of dancers that have inspired me in this field. Contemporary: Joan Peters, Ned Williams (Dunham technique), Tracy Inman (Horton technique), Marianne Bachmann (Graham technique). Joan Peters remains one of my all-time favorite teachers in any discipline. Swing Dance/Lindy Hop: Victor Ward, Jon Raabe, Jumpin' Jive Cats, and a number of workshop teachers and individual dancers too long to list Gyrotonics Expansion System: Giulia Petrini and the Karma Studio African Dance: Djoniba Dance and Drum Centre, Giguywassa (Italy) Martial Arts: Scuola Del Fiume-Istituto di Wu-Shu di Firenze (Italy); insanely inspired by their top notch advanced students. Especially amazing to see the advanced ladies kick some butt.
