Sagit (Saguit)

Sagit, director of The Belly Dance Center in Jerusalem, started dancing various styles of dance from an early age.

At the age of 15, she started dancing Oriental dance Belly dance), and was swept away by its charms.

Throughout the years, she studied the dance in Israel and all over the world with the great masters of oriental dance of Egypt, USA, France, Austria, Germany and Turkey.

Sagit has a "Dance instructor" diploma from Wingate College and an M.A. research degree in Islam and Middle East Studies. Sagit has been dancing Oriental dance for over 17 years, and performed in various frameworks, on stages all over Israel, in festivals and different TV shows.

In addition, she has produced several original successful dance shows. Sagit also performs in public events, corporate events and private parties, gives dance workshops and lectures about oriental dance, its origins and development, Islam and the Arab society.

In addition, Sagit teaches oriental dance and choreography classes in different levels, from beginning level until the professional one regularly in her center.

She teaches different groups of women, teenagers and girls (from the age of 5), as well as various dance workshops. Today, a number of Sagit's dance students are already professional dancers and dance teachers themselves!
