Jasmine Abbad

Jasmine Abbad is one of the winners in the famous festival "Ahlan Wa Sahlan Summer 2011"

Inspired by the dancers of the 50's (Samia Gamal, Tahia Carioca ...) she will study their style and secrets, Jasmine is primarily a self-taught.

She refined her style in Switzerland (Basel) and started teaching egyptian belly dancing. She will perfect her art under the eye of Farida Fahmy (featuring actress and dancer of the troupe REDA). Ibrahim Ab'al Masksoud (director of three Egyptian national schools, choreographer and artistic adviser to the Egyptian TV) will teach her the folk and traditional Egyptian styles.

Like her idol, Samia Gamal, Jasmine will study other dance (western classical dance, flamenco, salsa ...) and integrate them into her dance. She studied acting with Nathalie Dewoitine (director and actress). The two women are going to create the musical "Jasmine beyond the veil" which mixes comedy, dance and video.

Whether solo or troupe, Jasmine continues to explore all aspects of Egyptian dance. She recreates the world of belly dancers of 50 years who embodied the fluidity, technique and joy.
